Indigenous Youth Summer Camps

Turtle Island Charity is committed to putting youth first. Our programs and educational opportunities have been designed with a youth-first mindset, working directly with Canadian reservations and Indigenous communities to create programs that provide fresh, fair, and fun opportunities for Indigenous youth and kids to explore their cultural heritage and embrace their own potential.
FUN Program
Our FUN Program is a traveling summer camp that brings fun, learning, and cultural connection directly to Indigenous communities.
Through land-based learning, mental wellness activities, and hands-on education, youth gain confidence, leadership skills, and a deeper connection to their identity. Activities include traditional storytelling, drumming, medicine walks, sports, team-building games, and career mentorship.
Guided by Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and trained facilitators, each camp is a safe and supportive space for Indigenous youth to grow, heal, and thrive. More than just a camp—it’s a place where culture is celebrated, friendships are built, and futures are shaped. Join us in empowering the next generation!
LEARN Program
The LEARN Program brings Indigenous youth to college campuses for a transformative, hands-on experience in higher education.
Throughout the week, participants explore academic pathways, meet Indigenous mentors (elders, indigenous students, indigenous athletes and industry professionals), and engage in cultural and leadership workshops. Youth will take part in art activities, sports, and daily field trips, making learning both exciting and interactive. Through campus tours, guest lectures, skill-building sessions, and traditional teachings, participants gain confidence in navigating post-secondary education while staying connected to their identity.
LEARN is more than exposure—it’s empowerment, equipping Indigenous students with the tools to dream big, succeed, and feel at home in academic spaces.
